I'm in trouble now...

What do I do now?
Hannah and Emma are calling Santa's bluff!!!
Today when I tried pulling the "you'd better get your room clean, Santa's watching" bit, Emma simply said, "That's okay. Last year we fought a lot and we still got presents." Then Hannah chimed in, "Yea, and we didn't clean our room until a day or two before Christmas, so it's okay. Last year Santa wrote them a letter about being good and getting their {INCREDIBLY MESSY} room cleaned up, but it had very little effect. From what I hear, he is seriously considering writing another one right now, but if it is not going to matter, should he bother? What is a big jolly guy to do? If Santa can't convince kids to clean their room, then I haven't got a chance!!!

Or have you heard of "the elf" idea? You hide the elf in a different place every day - but visible to see. You name the elf - I've seen people name theirs Franklin, Buddy, etc. and he watches over the kids and reports to Santa...

My boys named our elf Brett. He sits next to our advent box - until a couple of days ago when Griff kidnapped him so he couldn't pass along any info... I honestly don't know where he is now.

Speaking of Griff - We're having a bedtime issue with that boy. This morning I sang "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" while we were fixing breakfast. You should have seen the size of his eyes! He grabbed my arm, and asked, "They wrote a song about me?!"

Ok Heather, I am returning the love and leaving a comment. I have been blog stalking you for awhile. Hope that is ok! Wink, Wink. Your girls are truly so adorable. I loved hearing about your latest about the girls and Santa and also Hannah telling you that "you aren't the perfect mom because you yell and Jesus was perfect and never yells." To funny! Kids say the darnedest things! I am gonna add you to my bloggin' buds. Hope it is ok! :) PS. When Karmindy gets a tinsey bit older I will definitely sign her up for your preschool! I wish I would've known you sooner with Kaleb! :)

Sophie doesn't play into the whole santa is watching either, she hasn't figured out quite as far as yours but it is super frustrating so i switched that mom is going to return what she bought for you, she knows i am way tougher than santa :)
