A Gold Mine of Fonts

I recently found this great blog with tons of free fonts. They're mostly made from handwriting samples that people send in to her, and some of them are so cute! So if you are interested here you go:

A boring life=a good life

Often people (you know, home/visiting teachers, friends, family) ask us how we are doing, and well, we are always "fine". It's so boring to always tell people that we are just fine, but I know that that means that life is good. I'm always grateful that we don't have anything major going on in our lives. Don't get me wrong, we have our stresses and our worries just like anyone else out there, but we don't have any large trials in our lives. (Lord, I don't need any right now either-please.) It doesn't take long on my computer, and my 'blog-surfing' to realize just how blessed our lives are. I have found two blogs out there that just break my heart. The first is here and is about a family who lost their first/only child very unexpectedly only 3 months ago. Every time I read it I just want to scoop up my kids and hold them tightly, and kiss their beautiful faces. The other blog is here. This blog is written by a young lady who was in a terrible plane crash almost a year ago with her husband and a flight instructor. The instructor died, and the husband and wife were critically injured and were extremely burned. I can't imagine going through a trial like theirs. She is very faithful and it is clear that her faith in The Lord is what is getting her through each day. I just can't imagine how hard it would be to struggle caring for your family (of 6) as well as trying to heal from the large amounts of burns that now cover her body. So while our simple little lives here may be boring, and my biggest worries include when/how to get my house clean, or getting the bills payed, then I know that we are indeed VERY BLESSED!!!

Gracie is walking!

It's official...I have a walker. She's 10 months old now, which puts her walking at the same age as Emma and one month behind Hannah.

Annual 4th of July Camping Trip

Every 4th of July we go camping with Jeff's family. This has been a tradition that goes back to when Jeff was very young. Even though our location has changed and the family has grown, we always know that we'll be dirty and stinky over the 4th! This year was an incredibly busy year. There were days that I hardly sat down! These pictures show a lot of the fun things we did this year.

Usually we go the the Oakley Rodeo, but not this year. Instead we told the girls that we would take them to the Kamas Family Fun Fish Farm. Overall they loved it-as long as the fish weren't flopping anywhere near them!

Here are Grace and Ashton just hangin' out while the big kids fished.

I think Hannah was the most excited to go fising, but I don't think she'll become a professional any time soon...

Hannah was OUT OF THERE the second that fish hit the deck! She remembers when she was 3 and a fish landed on her FEET. (Can you imagine the horror!)

Emma did a great job too-not quite as freaked out as her big sister!

The hillside was covered in daisies and made for a beautiful backdrop!

Here are all of the Uncles/Dads and the little fishermen-unfortunately Bryson slept through all of the action.

One of the owners came out and gave the kids an anatomy lesson with one of the fish they had caught. They thought it was pretty cool.

After fishing we headed up into the Uintas to Trial Lake for a picnic lunch. If the wind was blowing it was pretty cold, but the kids didn't care. They had a great time splashing at the shore and throwing rocks into the lake! Uncle Randy even took my girls on a boat ride with Britton.

On the way back to camp we stopped to check out a beautiful waterfall on the Provo River.

We also had a scavenger hunt for the younger grandkids. My girls remember last year's very well and were SOOOO excited to find out that there would be another one! Thanks to grandma for supplying the 'treasures'!
It was such a busy weekend that I only wish we could have done it sooner so that Bryson could have participated-he had to go a little sooner than the rest of us!

Did you ever have a Skip-It? Hannah loved Terra's and was getting pretty good at it. It made me giggle to watch her-especially when that tongue would come out!

The wagon was a wonderful way to keep all of the kids entertained, but I was extrememly grateful that Gracie loved it! She was so frustrated that I wouldn't let her crawl around and find the best tasting rocks, so this was a good distraction for her.

How cute is that smile!?!

What camping trip is complete without smores? Hannah loves smores and had already had 3 when this picture was taken. Now that's what I call a 'happy camper'!
