Meet Katelynn Jane

I got another new niece on Sunday! She was born at 8 lbs 2 oz and 20 inches long. Congratulation go out to Jeff's brother Dan and his wife Natalee. She is so cute from her button nose to her tiny toes. (Look, I can rhyme!) I love having two little tiny babies to snuggle, and then hand back to their mommies when I'm done. Oh, and I made another cute swaddle blanket to give little Katie.

Father's Day Gift

For Father's Day I got crafty. I'd like to take all the credit, but I actually have to share it. My neighbor put together a craft night and invited me over to join in the fun. She got the cute ideas over at HOW DOES SHE? Here is my finished project:

I was pleased with how it turned out-I just hope Jeff appreciates it. It's at his office now. Hopefully he is showing of 3 of the cutest girls I know!

Why Did It Get So Quiet?

Keep an eye on this one-

Grace is no dummy-she know how to get what she wants!
(Even if it's after lunch and she's already eaten an entire slice and isn't really hungry. She just wants to be big like her sisters!)

Sing Along...

*M*I*C*K*E*Y***M*O*U*S*E*

With Gracie, it's all about the mouse.
This is what bed/nap time looks like around here:

And of course, don't forget the Mickey CD too!

First encounter

Boy! I really slacked on my blog last week after being on such a roll. It's because everyone has been out of school and I've been taking advantage of it! Emma goes back Monday until July so this mini vacation is just about over for her.

Anyhow, last Friday the girls got to meet their newest cousin, Carter. Grace was excited to hold him first, but wasn't sure what to make of him. She was extremely frustrated that we wouldn't let her put him in the small play shopping cart! Hannah has really grown up a lot lately. She sat and held him for a very long time. It was strange to see her sit so still for so long-she's such a mover! They can't wait to see him again this weekend, and only about 1 more week until they welcome another little girl cousin into the family!

David Cook and REAL Soccer

Last night Jeff and I went on a date to the REAL soccer game.
A few weeks ago I heard that David Cook was going to be performing after the soccer game and I really wanted to go. Since Jeff's work (Les Olson Company) is a sponsor I asked him to see if we could get some tickets through them. A few days later we had them-gotta love free things!!! It was the first time for me at a REAL game. Soccer is...............meh. It's like watching baseball: not much happens for the majority of the game, but when it does, it's enjoyable.

REAL won against the Galaxy:

4th row!

After the game they let us down on the field for the concert.
LOOK HOW CLOSE WE WERE!!!

He played for about half-an-hour...not long enough!

See those fans above him...you might think they had a bad view, but he actually went up and said hi when he was finished. Lucky people!

Here is a short video of one of the songs. It's not the greatest, but whatever. It does get less shaky a little bit into it. ENJOY!
(Kristin...this one's for you!)

Finished!

Jeff worked really hard over the weekend and finished getting the swing set up. He did an awesome job and has the sunburn and sore muscles to prove it! We owe a thanks to his dad and brother who contributed some of their time to help out too! The kids LOVE having something to play on in the back yard besides piles of rocky dirt! Come on over and play with us!

Meet Carter

Meet my newest nephew,
Carter Jonathan.
Heidi (my sister) and Billy welcomed their third child today. He weighed in at 8 pounds 1 ounce and 20 inches. The best part is all of his dark hair! It reminds me of his mommy's hair when she was born.

See his cute swaddle blanket?
Guess what?
I made it!
I found the cutest idea on the internet and knew that I just had to make it! Here is the link at Prudent Baby. It's a great website for crafty ideas! I've even got some cute girly fabric just waiting for my next niece!
(Nat, you'll have to act surprised! ;) )

Another Project Finished

Buying a new home brings LOTS of projects. Our unfinished backyard is possibly the biggest project we have. This year we decided to put in a playground so the kids could have somewhere to play. Our yard slopes away from the house so Jeff had a lot of leveling to do. We had to build a retaining wall-and yes, I helped too. Pounding in the spikes was hard work. My back hurt for a few days after that!

Even Grace helped out.

Then we had 13 tons of sand delivered.

Grace couldn't wait for the sandbox to be completed. She LOVED playing in the sand in the driveway.

The sand was so wet and sticky.

I think I'll be spending the summer sweeping my floors...

Here is the sandbox/play area ready for sand.

All of the girls like to help their daddy in the Bobcat.

After a couple of hours of moving the sand, the sandbox was completed! The girls have already spend hours there. I'm hoping the magic continues-it's been nice to send them in the back to play for a while!

FINISHED!
(Well, sort of. Next comes the swing set. Jeff can't wait to get it built!)

Oh, and if anyone needs some dirt for leveling, back fill, or whatever, you are more than welcome to come and get some! Seriously! We have SO much extra dirt. We still have the Bobcat and can help load it up. (And by "we" I mean "Jeff".)
