This last Saturday was packed full of fun times. We started off at a family reunion up in Bountiful. Every year they have a giant water slide, pool, and a playground for the kids. The girls had a great time running around while we (chased Gracie), ate yummy food, and sat and visited.
Check out the pout on Emma-Jeff tried to push her down faster when she didn't want to! It was pretty funny to us!
After the reunion we headed back to Jeff's parent's house for Grace's big birthday party. We invited both sides of our families so there were a lot of people and kids running around! Grace, like most 1 year-olds, wasn't sure what to do with her presents, but she liked looking at them after they were opened. Unfortunately she had her shots the day before so she wasn't quite feeling like herself.
Grace's Aunt Angie made the cutest little birthday cake just for her to eat/destroy. She didn't quite dig into this one as much as we thought she would. I guess she just wasn't as hungry or feeling very good. She loved the frosting so much that she was honestly covered from head to toe. I had to throw her in a bath just to get her clean-and I even had to empty the tub and refill it just to rinse her off! Grace loves baths so much that that was probably the perfect ending to her day!
On Sunday the kids were so tired that 2 of them slept past 10:00!!! What a treat for us!
