Oquirrh Moutain Temple

Yesterday we went to the open house for the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. It was absolutely beautiful inside. I just loved listening to the little children as they went through with their families. As we walked in the main doors a young boy behind us (probably around 3 years old) said, "We're in Jesus' house!" Every adult around couldn't help but smile as his parents told him that he was correct. I chuckled to myself at the bapitsmal font when another little boy (probably closer to 8) said "Look! There are the moose!" I quietly checked with my girls to make sure they knew that they were looking at oxen, and not moose. My girls were speechless as they gazed into the mirrors in the sealing room. (It take a lot to make my girls speechless!) The symbollism throughout the designs in the temple were beautiful. We love that it is only a few minutes away from our house and can't wait to get back there after it is dedicated!

It is really beautiful inside isn't it? We get to go for the open house in a few weeks & then volunteer one more time before it's dedicated. So neat that we get to take our fam's to 2 temple open houses so close to home in the same year!

I am so glad that you left a comment on my blog. We were actually talking about you the other day - Madi still loves you and wants to be a teacher when she grows up.

Love your post about the temple - what a special experience. I keep telling Kev that it is too bad we live here we could have taken our kids to two temple open houses. I am sure your girls will treasure it forever.

You had another baby as well I see - congrats!!! Such a cute family.

Now I get to stalk your blog!!!!!
