Lightning

I love the summer storms that roll through in the evenings. Tonight I grabbed my camera and headed outside to see what I could get. After taking around 45 pictures, here is what I ended up with:

Pretty cool, huh?!

UPDATE:
Hannah want's to contribute to this entry:
"I Spy Harry Potter's Scar, a face looking to the left, and a bird on a wolf's nose". Can you find these things too?

#6 & #5

&

Numbers 6 and 5 are a tie.

EMMA GET HER EARS PIERCED
&
EMMA GETS A NEW SHORT HAIRCUT

Emma got her ears pierced after the end of Kindergarten and over the weekend she finally got her hair cut. She's been bugging me to cut it for months now, but I told her she had to wait until after Holly's wedding. Since I was out of excuses I finally made her appointment. She showed her hairdresser how short she wanted it, and I actually just let her do it! She had enough hair to donate it, so that helped ease my pain a little. I love her new 'do and so far, it's been SO much easier to style! Most importantly, Emma LOVES it!!! I think she smiled for 3 days straight!

(Later that night after Emma cut her hair off so easily, Jeff and I lamented that she might be our child that comes home with purple, spiky hair. Hmmmmm...anyone know of a good convent?)

Top Ten of July #8 & #7

BLOWING BUBBLES!
What summer is complete without a day of blowing bubbles? I had a hard time editing down my pictures from this day because Grace was being so cute. I love her expressive face!

MAKEOVERS!
I FINALLY got my hair done after waiting forever to do it! It's been a nice change. A week later I had a friend wax my brows. Unfortunately this picture was taken before the waxing, but I was trying to capture my new 'do.

Grace didn't want to be left out of the action and tried to give herself a make over. What do you think?

Let me know if you'd like to schedule an appointment with Grace. She's pretty cheap since she's still an amateur.

Top Ten of July

In order to cover all of the fun happenings of July, I've decided to list them in a "Top Ten" style. It was a crazy, busy month, but we sure made a lot of memories.

So here are numbers 10 and 9 of our

We watched a few with the neighbors on the 4th and on the 24th we had battling tanks, turtles, and chickens with the cousins. Good times!
