SHE'S 1 TODAY!!!

This past year has gone by so quickly! I can't believe my baby is already 1! She's been walking for a few months now-she just keeps getting quicker! She loves all table food and won't have anything to do with baby food from jars. When she thinks she's being ignored she screams at the top of her lungs to get your attention. (My parents like to remind me that that is sweet payback for my childhood screaming!) Lately her favorite snack is the dog food if we forget to put it out of reach. (I can hear you all eeewwwing right now!) She's a great sleeper-and always has been. She can say mama, dada, and Emma. She waves, claps, blows kisses, and gives high 5's. She's pretty stinkin' cute and I'm grateful to have her in my life each and every day!

FOR SALE: Various Regurgitating Items

I have a problem around the house...no matter how much I pick up and straighten it, things seems to keep coming out of the designated areas and end up at opposite ends of the house. I'm pretty certain I have figured out that these baskets and drawers regurgitate their contents onto the floor many times each day. I've had enough and they are now for sale.







Luckily for me Grace has been there to catch them in the action and then I get right on the clean up!

SHE'S 5 TODAY!!!

I just want to wish my little Emma-bean a very Happy Birthday! She's 5 today and I can hardly believe it! She is such a wonderful little girl! She's my timid, shy daughter, but she has a GIANT heart. She is the BEST cuddler around. And while I'm gushing, I just have to add that she is one smart little cookie-she may have entered kindergarten at only 4 years old, but she's already reading on an end-of-first grade level! (And I take very little credit for it-she figured it out on her own!)

Start off your week with a good laugh

We all come to this life with different talents. I know I have a few, but there are a some I can only dream of having. I wish I could speak better in public-I actually turned down the last invitation to speak in sacrament and left Jeff to do it alone. I came to a realization, after my last talk in sacrament, that the ward is truly better off listening to someone other than me for 20 minutes of their lives. I'm just wasting everyone's time-no, really. I also wish I had a good singing voice. At best, I can carry a tune. I always tell people that I can sing just well enough to sing for 5 year-olds. It was always a bit of a joke that I was the best choice to lead the entire kindergarten for their big program in front of the parents. Now that I'm really getting into my blog I wish I was a more creative and funny writer. BUT that's okay, I will resort to enjoying all of the other fun and inspiring blogs out there. One thing I can do, is to share the wonderful talents of others out there. If you need a good laugh and want to "waste" quite a bit of time, check out this hilarious blog call Cake Wrecks.
