Earrings for Hannah

Last night we took Hannah to get her ears pierced. She was so excited! When she climbed in the chair she was only a little nervous. She was so brave and she never cried! She loves the earring she picked-little pink daisies.

Annual 4th of July Events

Every year Jeff's family has an annual family camping trip over the 4th of July. We go camping together and enjoy the Oakley Rodeo. I've been going with them since Jeff and I were dating (making it about 14 years or so). This family tradition has been going on for many, many years. My girls always look forward to this weekend with their cousins. This weekend was just as fun as many of the others we've had. The highlights included a scavenger hunt for the little kids, throwing pop-its, a special visit from some second-cousins from out of town, making ice cream, a trip to the rodeo complete with a fireworks show, staying up untill 2 a.m. talking around the camp fire, and of course playing in the dirt! We were exhausted and dirty by the time we came home but we had a great time! The girls already can't wait for next year!

The End of June

So how did June end for us? We had some fun at the sprinkler park. Hannah had her end of the year program and fashion show. She is no longer a kindergartner-which is very strange to me. She had a wonderful report card and we are SO proud of her! We also finished painting the basement-next is the flooring. FYI the big black square that was painted isn't chalkboard paint-it's magnetic paint. We painted over it and now magnets stick to it. I love it!

8 INCHES!!!

So after begging me for a month, I finally gave in to Emma's wishes and chopped her hair short! She was excited for the change, but after growing it out for pretty much her whole life, it was hard for me to let it go! I pulled out a ruler when we were done and I couldn't believe it was just over 8 inches of length. She was so cute when we were finished, and mentioned that now her hair "won't get into [her] breakfast, lunch, or dinner!" I'm excited to try out some new hair do's. Emma helped pick out her favorite pictures to share from earlier tonight!

Playing Catch Up

It's been over a month since my last post and life is finally starting to settle down a little. For a while I barely found any time to do the daily essentials, and after pushing too hard for the last few weeks my health has suffered slightly. Just as everything wound-down I ended up getting a nasty cold that knocked me out for a week or so. Now that I'm recovering, the girls are sick. Oh well, this too shall pass.
So we finished T-ball season and the girls had a fun time despite all of the rain outs and very cold days. They were mostly excited to get their trophies at the last game.

My big news was that I survived a long, hard year of kindergarten and finished on the 6th! It's official-I'm 'unemployed'. (At least until I get the preschool started in a few weeks.) I'm so excited to be moving on, but boy is it scary too! I'm so tired of packing and moving boxes after bringing home 8 years worth of teaching things! It's way to exhausting to move when I'm pregnant. At least I don't have to unpack for a few more weeks!
The preschool is making progress. We are almost done with the sheet rock and expect to be mudding this weekend. Thanks to everyone that has helped along the way-we could never have done this without all of your help! I've filled up a few of the slots, but still have a lot of room for students. Keep spreading the word-it really helps! Oh, and let people know that I recently decided to drop my prices to help get my enrollment up!

Baby girl number three is only 11 weeks away and I can't believe it's coming so fast! Everything is going well, and Hannah and Emma are getting very excited to meet their new sister. We think we've decided on the name Grace-but it could change (but that's not likely).
I guess that's a glimpse into what's happening around here. For now, I'm catching up on all of the projects that I've left for summer and the girls are playing hard everyday! Jeff continues to work extremely hard in the basement-I love that guy so much! I know life isn't suppposed to be easy, but can it just slow down a little bit?

Do you agree?

I found this cool site from my sister-in-law, and it was kind of fun to do. See what you think of the results. There are current pictures and then baby pictures, but the results didn't change too much.
