October in a Nutshell

I'm back! There is sooooo much to blog about, so here is a 'quick' glimpse of what has been going on around here. They were all worthy of an individual blog, but life was just too crazy to do it. Here it goes (LOTS pictures to follow):

*Grace had some beautiful 12 month pictures taken.
*I was called to teach Relief Society-in addition to my Cub Scout calling.
*Grace fell off of a push car on the sidewalk and really messed up her face. (pictures never really do it justice.)
*The girls each entered into Reflections with a clay sculpture and Emma made it on to regionals. We should find out this month the results of this next round of judging. (To be honest, I thought Hannah was going to make it on, and Emma wouldn't...who knew?!)
*Jeff taught Hannah how to climb a door frame.
*We discovered color-changing Cheetos!
*Hannah lost another tooth.
*Grace was taken off bottles, cold turkey, and did great.
*I enjoyed a 3-day scrapbooking retreat at Bear Lake with Carie.
*The girls painted pumpkins with Auntie Holly.
*We had a great time at the zoo. It was full of baby animals, but I LOVED the baby elephant.
*Hannah turned 8!
*I was finally released from Cub Scouts!
*I discovered the best curlers ever!
*Gracie has fallen in love with Mickey Mouse.
*There were many of your typical October events.
*HANNAH WAS BAPTIZED!!!

Phew, I'm tired just thinking about my crazy month. Time to go take a nap. (I wish!)

One last thing: Jeff and I took a look at Emma's pumpkin and saw that she had drawn all over it. What do you think she drew? Warts? Chicken Pox? Bugs? Kisses? Wrong! Neither of us was very happy with her...until she explained that "it's what it's saying 'ooooooo'"! Yup, we busted a gut laughing! Pretty clever for a 5 year old!

The curlers are called Curlformers and I found them at Sally Beauty Supply. You can see them online here: http://www.curlformers.com/englishcurlformer.htm

Awesome pics! I loved the "OOOOOOOOO's" on the pumpkin! Audrey will be getting baptized in a few weeks, too. And I have got to go to the zoo looks like the place to be right now! Color changing Cheetos make me throw up in my mouth a little! ACK! And those curls are pretty awesome!
phew.

You guys have been busy, glad to see you back blogging. Congrats to Hannah on her special day! I love that she knows how to climb a door frame!! Is it true you made that dress for Hannah?

Oh, Amy, Amy, Amy...SEW? Me? With what extra time? NO, no, no. I can thank Costco for that dress. We really debated over a nice dress, or a white dress and this is the one Hannah just HAD to have. Going into the winter I didn't love the idea of an all white dress, plus if you know my kid, Hannah and white just don't mix! In my perfect world I would sew special outfits like this and Halloween costumes, because I can sew-I just don't have the time to do it! Maybe in the next life. Maybe.
