Surprise Party

On Saturday Hannah finally got her birthday party. We had to wait a week because we took her and some friends and cousins to see High School Musical 3. We had a great time and actually enjoyed the movie (in a cheesy Disney musical sort of way)! When we got back to the house our families were all there to surprise her! It was so funny to see her reaction-she stood there in shock with a funny grin on her face. It took her a minute to register what had happened! She had a blast opening presents, eating cake, and playing, playing, and playing some more with friends and cousins.

School Carnival

Friday was Hannah's school carnival. They had a great time doing all of the activities. Here are a few pictures from the night.

Later that evening...

Hannah has had a loose tooth for quite a while now. The last few days it has been poking out and we knew it was getting close to falling out. Well, earlier tonight she was twisting it and out it popped! She was so excited to loose her first tooth on her 7th birthday. She wants to keep it for herself even if it means that she won't get any money from the tooth fairy! I guess the tooth fairy will be saving a few bucks around the Van Leeuwen household. I don't have any complaints about the money, but it does feel weird that the 'tooth fairy' doesn't have anything to do for my first born (I'm feeling ripped-off). I considered having her write a letter to the fairy to see if she would leave the tooth and some money, but she really doesn't care about the money, so why push it?

Happy 7th Birthday Hannah!

Hannah got her own desk and a few supplies to go with it.

If you don't know, Hannah is my creative, crafty child. She is constantly creating, drawing, cutting, gluing, and taping. You always know where she has been playing because she tends to leave a mess in her wake. I knew her own desk would be perfect, but I have to admit it was partly a selfish decision...I'm tired of the messes in my office! She loves it and has already created some masterpieces!

GO UTES!
